I had a Shoei RF-R but found it too hot in the summer here in Arizona and it constantly fogs up in the winter. I looked at the Nolan N100 but found that it was not a good fit for me. I purchased an HJC Symax from cycledepot.net, the best price I could find. Similar to the Nolan, fits me better, and has all the features I want. My advice: generate a list of questions graded on how important they are to you, gather info, make selection. But make sure you try one one even if you have to travel 100 miles to do so like I did!

Some questions to ask:
Cost?
Washable/removable liner?
Incoming air vents?
Exhaust air vents? (Incoming don't work too well if no exhaust!)
Anti fog features?
DOT and Snell approvals?
Convertible? (Chin bar lifts up like the Nolan N100 and HJC Symax.)
Weight?
Easy shield removal/replacement?
Chin strap attachment mechanism, padding?
Etc.
Most important: How does it feel on you??
